Hello and welcome! My name is Rebecca Downard, and I wear many hats - some call me a teacher, others a community leader.

As the Owner, Consultant, and Educator at Ambassador Consulting and Education LLC, my passion lies in being a community educator, leader, and philanthropist.

With a passion for education, I have dedicated my career to making a positive impact in various community and non-profit settings since 2003.

My expertise lies in after-school learning enrichment and youth programs, where I leverage my education and experience.

I take pride in leading, creating, and facilitating training for diverse audiences, including youth, adults, and families in non-profit and faith-based organizations. My focus areas include community outreach/service-learning and cross-cultural/global awareness education.

We specialize in preparing all students including international students for success and believe in the power of education to bridge cultural gaps.

💖 Heart for Service My heart and purpose extend beyond the classroom. I am deeply committed to serving those in need, whether in my local community or on a global scale. Students, especially international ones, hold a special place in my heart, and I consider it an honor to contribute to their growth and success.

This is a self-paced professional development unit designed for K-3 teachers who desire to learn more about the science of reading.

Participants will move through seven self-paced modules focused on each component of reading: phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. The phonemic awareness unit will also include a module on sound walls. The estimated time for completion of all the modules is six hours.
